Chris, can you elaborate a bit more what you want to achieve?

802.1x Wifi authentication via Radius, with your AD in the backend? If yes, do you have a Radius server, or not?
Or do you want users to login in to the Hivemanager GUI with their AD account?

I see you have tagged this question with "Hivemanager Connect" - can you confirm that you are using the Connect platform, and not "Select"?

Hello Chris, if you are using Connect you will only be able to tie in to an existing Radius server, which would mean the active directory tie in would happen on your equipment rather than in the Aerohive configuration. If you are using the full version of HiveManager (formerly NG), you would want to consult the following guide, specifically the "Creating an Internal Radius Server on an Aerohive AP" section- https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Radius-SSID-in-NG

We are trying to setup the access points so that a user will need to enter their AD credentials to connect to the SSID in question.

Are you using Connect or Select? If you're unsure, a good way to tell is if you can navigate to the "Tools" tab at the top. If you can, you have Select, if not then you have Connect. The answer will change depending on what platform you are using.

Yes I have a 'Tools' in the top (see attach). So I'm using 'Select'.

Hello, thanks for confirming for me. In that case, to set up an SSID where users have to enter their AD credentials through a CWP, you would want to create an Open SSID> Enable CWP> Check the box next to "User Auth and Captive Web Portal"> This will give you the option to either Authenticate via Radius server (which you can do by following the guide I posted earlier about Radius Set up in NG), or by redirecting them to an External URL for authentication. Is this what you were looking for?
