SNMP to Zabbix does not work

Our nmap from our zabbix to our AP's work. But our snmpwalk -v 2C -c public gets timeouts.

we added an snmpserver in the hive control panel with the ip adress from the server

We have disabled to send traps over CAPWAP.

zabbix V2C GET public

when i go to the config of 1 of the AP's

This is what i see in the configuration of the AP

no interface eth1 shutdown

config rollback enable

system web-server enable

snmp reader version v2c community public 172.25.100.29

no snmp trap-info over-capwap

no snmp trap-info over-snmp

hive VHM-JWBTSSWY manage SNMP

no interface eth0 manage SNMP.

no interface eth1 manage SNMP

no snmp reader version any community hivecommunity

Unfortunately we will need traps over capwap to be enabled for SNMP to work. Could you enable those and test again?

Still does not work.

Hi,

Have you enabled SNMP on the device template / AP template settings for the Uplink Port on the APs?

It's easy to miss and is required for the APs to respond to the SNMP requests.

Ok we dont have a template assigned.

But i can not add the default aswell... but now at least i know in wich direction i need to look 🙂
