How can I change hostname and DNS settings of a HM-NG VM?

My ESX-Admin did not setup the network configuration within the OVA-template.

Now my system has no DNS caches configured and the FQDN is wrong.

How can I change this?

I tried with the "netcfg"-account from the console... but I see now way how the change the hostname nor DNS Server properties... I can only see that's it wrong by issueing "show network".

On the WUI I miss "HOME/ADMINISTRATION/HIVEMANAGER SETTINGS/Current Network Settings", which was available in the classic HM WUI...

Please give me a hint on how to change the properties.

What version of HiveManager are you currently running? If you are on 12.x or higher, you should be able to add :3000 to the end of your HiveManager address to reach the admin settings for the HiveManager instance itself. The credentials for the :3000 login are the same as the admin credentials for the HiveManager.

Yes, I am on 12.x and the "HiveManager Virtual Appliance Management System" solved my problem.

However, I was not able to find that URL (nor that this management system exists) in the documentation...

Are there plans to improve this?

Hi, thanks to his thread Ive managed to change the network settings on my new NGVA, but im stuck with a certificate error relating to the IP and FQDN (hivemanager-ng.aerohive.com).

Ive changed the hostname via the VA Management System but it seems the cert didnt change to suit the new hostname.

@Armin, did you run into something similar? If so could you let me know how you got passed it please?
