We are monitoring in the ML Insights tab. There are several views. I've added screenshot of one dorm. You can see a navy blue flag whenever there's a channel change... which assume should only happen 1-4am based on the radio profile.

Also through the hundreds of major alarms in the dashboard we get daily for high interference. We know we have some high interference clean up to do, but can't trust the 10.x data at the moment to develop a physical remediation plan around...

These guides review how to troubleshoot interference (which high collision indicates), depending on the HiveManager platform in use:

HiveManager Classic:https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Radio-Frequency-Interference-Troubleshooting

HiveManager:https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Radio-Frequency-Interference-NG

This guide will walk you through how to determine which HiveManager you are using, for reference: https://thehivecommunity.aerohive.com/s/article/Which-HiveManager-Platform-am-I-using

If you'd like assistance interpreting the data, please feel free to send me tech data from an AP at communityhelp@aerohive.com.

Also please keep in mind we have a known issue right now with the 10.x firmware line that causes false positive interference alters. If you are on a 10.x version, consider moving to an 8.x version until 10.0r8 is release, which should have a fix for this issue.

Just a heads up, this issue is not indicated on the 10.0r7a release notes. It would be nice to know that the "known issues" portion of the release notes are being kept up to date, especially when it is currently the recommended OS for most devices.

Any update on when an r8 can be expected? Or workarounds possible? This issue is inhibiting our ability to detect and remediate true inference issues across our campus.

I clear these alerts every couple days. There are so many they're basically useless. I'm forced to wait for client feedback in order to troubleshoot interference issues.

I don't have an ETA for r8 yet, but you can downgrade to 8.2r6 or similar to avoid the issue in the mean time.

@Sam Pirok can you advise if the false positive interference issues effect the dynamic channel selection?

As in, will the increased collision/interference alerts trigger more frequent channel changes unnecessarily? In my case on 10.x we are seeing channel changes automatically occurring frequently mid-day, even though radio profiles are set to only change 1-4am and/or interference above 35%,with only if no clients connected enabled.

We'll evaluate downgrading to 8.2.r6 too.

There have been some reports of 8.4r11 also reporting incorrect information. As far as I know they haven't confirmed if this is the same issue, but I know 8.2r6 is stable and it was the recommended version for a while so it's a good stepping stone to fall back to while we wait for 10.0r8.
