      <description>&lt;P&gt;The orange/amber light means broadcasting but not connected to the HiveManager. I'm not sure about it not resetting, it's possible to disable that physical reset button on the AP in the configuration, but ultimately we'd need to console in to the AP to see if it responds when we hold the reset button down or when we run the command "reset config".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To get the AP to connect to your HiveManager, we'd want to run CAPWAP commands/troubleshooting.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Just in case someone else runs in to this later on, we consoled in to the AP but we weren't able to get the command line to come up or respond at all. Since we're unable to troubleshoot further if the AP won't respond, we're going to RMA the AP for you. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The amber light means the AP is still broadcasting it's last known configuration but is not connected to the HiveManager, which means we won't be able to troubleshoot from the GUI. You can SSH in to the AP with a computer on the same subnet as the AP if you don't have a console cable available, otherwise they are available in many places including Amazon. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you aren't able to ping the device it likely has a new IP address. I'm afraid if you can't SSH in to it you're going to need a console cable to determine the issue, especially since a reboot didn't fix it. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The AP didn't change the Ip given that the ping works sometimes. I think that something is wrong on the AP: even the power,or the AP itself. I will try to connect by console this evening, and I will keep you posted.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

If you want to set the IP address statically you'll want to click on the Host Name of the Device&amp;gt; Go to Device Configuration (left hand side menu under Configuration)&amp;gt; Under the management interface section choose Static Address and enter the IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway&amp;gt; Push this out as a complete configuration to the AP. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The most likely cause for that is the IP address/subnet/gateway was invalid. That command alone is not enough, you also need to set the default gateway of the AP with the command: ip route default gateway &amp;lt;address&amp;gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would highly recommend doing this through the GUI so these settings aren't lost with every configuration update/reboot. &lt;/P&gt;</description>
