AP121 Wont update to latest version.

I've tried to run the update from hivemanager connect multiple times, but this AP won't update. Any suggestions would be welcome.

What HiveOS version is it on? If you're using HiveManager and the AP is on a version older than 6.5r3, then the updates will fail. We'll need the AP to be on 6.5r3 at minimum to manage it in the HiveManager.

Thank you for letting me know. When the updates fail, there should be a Device Update Failed message on the Monitor page of the HiveManager, when you hover over this message could you tell me what the failure details say?

If you go to the Monitor Page to see your devices, under the Updated column you should see either the time stamp of the last successful update, or Device Update Failed. If you hover your mouse over the Device Update Failed message, you should see details of the failure.

If you don't see the updated column, click on the notepad and pen icon right next to Update Devices to add columns to the Monitor page, and add Updated as a column.

I might be doing something wrong then, It shows the last time it was updated, but the device still shows that it has a conflict in the configuration audit even theough I havent made any changes, and the version hasn't changed. Is there a way to update from firmware on a USB drive? I'm more comfortable with CLI anyway, so if there is a way to do it that way I would be willing to try it. Thank you.

For the configuration mismatch, sometimes this is triggered by simply opening the network policy or one of its objects, even if no change was made. You can confirm no updates are waiting to go out by clicking on the red exclamation mark next to the AP host name. This will run a configuration comparison between the HiveManager and the running configuration on the AP and list any differences.

I dont think that will help me, as I haven't purchased partner support to get the firmware as a stand alone download. I could be doing something wrong, what is the actual process to update the firmware from hivemanager connect? Thank you for all the help.

I've followed that guide, using the firmware you emailed me. I see the green progress bar again, it gets to 10% and then disappears. In it's place is a time stamp matching when it upgrades. I then move over to the cli window for the device, and there are no messages or reboot warnings. I issue the reboot command and when it comes back online, it is still in the previous version. I'm working on doing it with a tftp server, but the guide is a bit sparse. tftp is not a command.

Thanks for keeping me updated, I'll look in to updating that CLI guide. Could you try the Web UI method instead in the mean time? I use that one almost daily so it should be more reliable.

What is the correct format for a tftp connection on a device 192.168.3.107 in the location C:AP141-6.5r12.img.S ? I enter

save image tftp://192.168.3.107:"C:AP141-6.5r12.img.S"

and get the error

ERROR: space, ?, and " need input between " and ", and " need input before it.

I have. As per my last response, after reboot it is still in the previous version. I'm trying to use tftp, but am having command format errors. What is the proper way to format the command if I want to access a file residing on the C: drive of a computer with a local IP of 192.168.3.107? I tried
