Hello,

Is it possible with Aerohive NG on premise to get the newest Firmwares for NG and AccessPoint automatically ? Or does our customer have to open an account on this website to get them (download manually)?

Is it ok to use for AP550 the Version 10.4r4 instead the Goldenversion 8.4 ?

I know Classic on-prem had an Add/Remove link to download the latest HiveOS releases from an update server and I don't recall on-prem NG having that. Do you have access to the Downloads section in the Hive Community? You may need to purchase a support contract to gain access. We've updated some of our cloud managed AP550s to 10.4r4 with no reported issues yet.

The latest firmware files should be available in the HiveManager GUI, and the guide below reviews how to update your firmware via the GUI. On premises deployments will be at risk of not including the latest versions as those on premises updates come out less frequently than new firmware versions. That said, you should see an option to add firmware files directly to the HiveManager if you'd like. Keep in mind that HiveManager versions may have difficulty with HiveOS versions that come out after the HiveManager version was released, as there may be new features or commands in the firmware that the GUI doesn't know about yet.

I am struggling to add 10.0r4 to our HM NG On Prem - running 12.8.3.2.

Cannot upload firmware AP650-10.0r4.img.S on 2.

Any ideas? Our 650's are not working correctly on 10.0r1 or 10.0r3

Thanks for letting me know the error you're seeing. I just confirmed that 10.0r4 isn't currently supported yet, when it is we'll add it to the HiveManager firmware options.
