Device Update Failed when attempting HiveOS Update

We have a Hive Manager NG build version 12.8.0.14

I am trying to update the Hive OS on some AP 250 and AP 550 WAPs.

The current v8.1r2a and we are trying to upgrade to 8.2r1a or 8.3r2.

We get the message Device Update Failed but with a few reboots of the WAP the Hive OS does update although the 'Device Update Failed' message still appears in the Update column on the Monitor Device screen.

Hi Evan,

Did you check the version on the AP? Does it reflect the upgraded version or the old one?

Thanks for the reply.

The version shown in HMNG is the same as the HIveOS version from the CLI.

I have performed some updates this morning and they have gone through without issue. The Updated column shows todays date and the time of the update.

I did check our firewall logs yesterday to see if there were any problems there but could find no issues.

It seems to be working correctly now. Could this have there been an issue with off-premise Hive?

Hi Abhi...

I got the same problem..

i am using AP230 but AP keeps on coming as Device Update Failed.

current ver on the AP is 6.4r1e

AP SN is 02301705161164
