Unfortunately I don't think the API is supported in on-premises installations. It's only for the cloud instance.

The feature is in the On Premises release, but it's not fully functional at the moment so it isn't technically supported. I did discuss this with our API expert, and our documentation for that feature isn't quite complete. You'd need to send the request in a different manner than the documentation states. You'd want to substitute the URL of the HiveManager RDC and you'd need to specify the proper headers and query string parameters to make the request work.
