My AP121 isn’t working for SNMP GET queries. I have it configured for v3 (although I’ve also tried v2c and v1) via the ExtremeCloudIQ portal, and my AP122’s work perfect, but the AP121 doesn’t answer properly. I’m running the most current firmware (6.5.12), so I’m not sure why it’s not working.

I assume SNMP-support was introduced with a later version. In the CLI-guide of version 6.5r11 for AP121 I cannot find any SNMP-command.

Not sure who marked that as the “Answer”, but it wasn’t me and I don’t agree. In the CLI-Guide for the AP121 (http://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/documentation/cli_guide_ap121_ap141_6-5r11.htm) for release 6.5r11, there are clearly SNMP commands available.

What do you mean with “ the AP121 doesn’t answer properly”? Do you get no response? Or do you get wrong or missing information? What do you see when you enter “show snmp”-commands at the CLI?

I can’t get a connection to the AP on udp/161. SNMP tools respond with “Timed Out”. The output from “show snmp” and “show snmp v3-admin” are in the screen shot below. This is the exact same SNMP settings (policy) that use on my AP122 devices and the output from them shows exactly the same, so the config seems to be right.

I’ve already double checked to make sure that Traffic Filters have SNMP enabled on the Wired interface.

Have you tested it from within the same subnet? Or can you mirror the switch port the AP is connected to and connect a sniffer to the mirror port?

I think there are two possibilities: Either the SNMP traffic becomes blocked anywhere or there is a bug in your firmware version.
