Abhi, it does not appear as though 8.2r2 is available for the AP250. I am running Hivemanager 8.2r1a and when I force an AP250 to update (using golden image) it does not go passed 8.2r1a. And looking at the downloads available, I do not see it there, either (as attached).

Yes, you are right. Sorry about that. 8.2r2 is not released yet and we will be releasing soon. I updated the matrix to reflect the latest version which is 8.2r1a. You are on the current latest version.

Abhi,

Can you please take a look at what makes HiveOS 8.1r2a faster than 8.2r1a? Hopefully the issue is fixed in 8.2r2, but I won't be able to test it for another 3 weeks.

We are running 8.2r1a on our AP250s with a 100Mbps internet connection. Speedtest.net was giving us ~50Mbps download. After talking with support and uploading 8.1r2a, we are getting ~80Mbps, which is no different than what our wired clients are getting.

Last Thursday, when I called in to Aerohive Support, the engineer "aworden" had me upgrade my AP130 to 8.2r2, which he said is a "Golden" version for this AP. I do not see that version on your diagram. I asked him more than once if this is the version Aerohive recommends, and he said yes. So far, there have not been any noticeable issues. Thank you.

8.2r2 is the recommended version and the support engineer is right. It has not been tagged as Golden yet. Appreciate your feedback.

When we brought it up in the update screen, it did indeed have ("Golden") in parentheses. I took his word for it and installed it. So far, so good. (knock on wood)

With the latest update you removed the name "GoldenImage" in the hivemanger interface.. We are using multiple types of AP.

In the older matrix for example AP130 the latest golden/stable Version was HiveOS 8.2r6. The feature update was HiveOS 8.4r11.

This is still visible in http://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/ng/Content/learning-whats-new.htm under Stable and Feature Release Information

In this new matrix what is stable version for Hivemanger Cloud(NG)?. Because de HMOL version for AP130 is the same as the stable version in the documentation.

Or is the HM Cloud table version the latest stable version(Golden) so 10.0r5 And the documentation is wrong,

So is the first table the stable version and the second table the feature update? Like the older matrix?.

Or are both stable(Golden versions) for different platforms. Can you explain this in more detail?.

Hello Roelo,

The matrix above is the latest release information that Aerohive recommends to use on the corresponding APs. For AP130, the recommend version on HM Cloud (NG) is 10.0r5 and on HMOL it is 8.2r6 since 10.0r5 HiveOS is not supported on HMOL platform.

We have customers using AP130 and other AP models on both HM Cloud (NG) and HMOL which is why we recommend two versions.

We will get the documentation link to be updated with the latest information. Appreciate your inputs.

Can you put back the "Updated - xx/xx/xxxx" info in the upper left hand corner like the previous Matrix releases?
