Is there a way to preview a new version of Hive Manager NG before upgrading our instance?

I've recently taken over the Wi-Fi for my company and noticed our HiveManager NG instance is way out of date (we are on HiveManager enterprise 6.8r7a). I would like to upgrade to version 8.2 and was wondering if there was a way to preview the new version in a sandbox type instance before I upgrade our production one. I also need to know if upgrading to the newer instance version will affect our APs in any way.
