I need to limit traffic from specific applications across our acces points, such as YouTube, Roku, Netflix. The latest I've seen on the forums, old forum was over 4 years ago and not helpful with changes to the GUI. It was called Traffic Shaping in the past. Any idea with the latest version of Hive Manager?

We can limit traffic for users on certain user profiles (QoS), or we can block certain applications (IP Firewall), but we can't limit traffic for certain applications only. Are you trying to block these applications?

I was hoping to limit traffic via the SSID that staff/users connect to, and not block the applications.

You can limit traffic for a particular SSID by opening the User Profile associated with that SSID in question and setting the QoS settings there. This page can give you more details about the options we have within QoS- https://docs.aerohive.com/330000/docs/help/english/ng/Content/gui/configuration/configuring-user-profile-qos-settings.htm?Highlight=QoS

I think this is possible with a little trick. In the additional settings of the network policy you have to configure a classifier map. You set the applications you want to limit to a QoS class. I used Best_Effort2.

Now you can rate limit this QoS class in the User Profile of your SSID.
