The Radio and Rates settings will determine how strong of a signal there needs to be between the client device and the AP before the client will be able to join. This won't affect the bandwidth of the SSID.

You could use a Classifier Map to tag all traffic from a particular SSID as one type of QoS Class (such as Best Effort 2), and then set the weight for Best Effort 2 traffic to a lower priority than other SSIDs on the network. Does that sound like what you're looking for?

We had to disable the QoS function on the APs through CLI because it was slowing every SSID/Network.

Now that I try to tune an SSID with the radio & rates settings nothing seems to change when I push the config to the APs

We're using AP230
