topic SNMP Addresses for Off Prem Servers Internal or External Addresses? in Aerohive Migrated Content

I have Aerohive via Hivemanager Online, when I configure SNMP to go to the "internal" address of my SNMP collector (PRTG), I was using the 192.1.2.3 address (not real address obvs), but I dont seem to get anything using SNMP v1, v2c or V3. The collector is living in AWS in a private VPC with an IPSEC tunnel to the locations where the AP's live.

Does it work as I think, i.e From AP to collector directly, or does it go via Hivemanager, so I should be somehow pointing Hivemanager to the server?

We have 4 regions across the globe to ingest from into local AWS regions, would it need to be the external interfaces of AWS despite us using tunnels to keep private traffic private?

For the sake of posterity, it seems you use the internal addresses but I'm getting unrelated errors , the IP was a red herring.
