    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello, in the environment that I manage. We have several AP230s and AP330s. All of them have a max TX dB of 20 dBm. Why is it so much lower than the 30 dBm that is allowed. I'm in the US, and my APs are all set for country code 840. Is this intentional in order to force smaller cell sizes for APs with omni-directional antennas?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Industry best practice.  Since client radios have generally less power you end up with a client that can hear the AP but can't talk back - leading to performance issues.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Going back to industry best practice, the chip-set manufacturers that Aerohive uses (&lt;I&gt;that varies amongst AP models&lt;/I&gt;) - limit there firmware transmit powers.&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;</description>
