You can remove a device from the wifi without a MAC filter, but to keep them from reconnecting later on you'd need a MAC filter to deny access out right.

If you go to Monitor> Clients (left hand Side menu)> Wireless Clients> Check the box next to the device you would like to disconnect> Click Operation... at the top of the page> Deauth Client, that will disconnect the device. This won't stop them from reconnecting however, for that you'd likely need a MAC filter.

Does that mean that w/o MAC filter in place we can't boot an unwonted device of the WiFi?

Thanks
