You will need to upgrade the device to 6.5r3 minimum to be able to manage it in the HiveManager. I've emailed you with the firmware file and a guide that reviews how to update the firmware via the Web UI of the AP instead of the GUI, please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for sending the firmware! i'm not able to do the upgrade via gui because there is a certificate issue with the browser. Are there instructions on how to update via cli and local tftp server?

But if you just remove the "s" from HTTPS in your URL, you should be able to get past the browser issue as well.
