1.1.1.1 used to work, but that was bought out recently so it might not work any more. You should be able to try to browse anywhere and then get redirected to the cwp as far as I understand.

Alternatively if the above doesn't work then browse to any HTTP site (http://www.wifi123.org) for example, and it should redirect.

I had the same problem recently on a United flight (I don't think HIVE kit) with a Chromebook - using HTTP sites is the best workaround (Note: I believe sites that redirect to https, like google.com will fail)
