To push a new SSID to an AP, you'd want to go to Monitor> Select the check box next to the AP you want to update> Update Devices> Choose Complete update. Is that what you are looking for?

I can do that but the update gets to 10% and fails every time.

What does the failure message say if you click on Device Update Failed?

It was unable to save image to flash. I’ve rebooted and reset to factory still with no success.

Could you tell me what firmware you are using? We typically see this issue if we're using a firmware version older than 6.5r3 with HiveManager (formerly NG). Could you also tell me what HiveManager platform you are using; HiveManager Classic (myhive.aerohive.com) or HiveManager (formerly NG, cloud.aerohive.com)?

All updates have been done. I have loaded my config from HiveManager now. It still will not broadcast the SSID I have given it?

If you SSH in to the AP, which you can do from the HiveManager by going to Monitor> Checking the box next to the AP> Actions> Advanced> CLI Access, and run the command "Show SSID", do you see the SSIDs you have configured? Also can you go to Monitor> Click on the hostname of the device> Interface settings (left hand side menu)> and confirm that one or both of the wifi radios are on and have the SSIDs toggled on?

Running the command shows nothing. Checking the interface settings, both radios are turned on and show the SSID config I have made. When I assign network policy it says applied successfully but never works.

hey guys did you sort out the firmware issue? I am interested to know whether AP-170 is capable to operate with the post-merger Extreme Networks -- what is now known as ExtremeCloud IQ Connect ?

Hi Bubba,

I see the last version supported for AP 170 was IQ Engine 6.5r12. I checked it in AP 170 template now and the image seems to still be there. Not sure for how long, it’s been a while since.

@Tomasz cool thank you - I don’t have the AP added to my ECIQ - do you know of a way to download 6.5r12 by means other than the integrated upgrade process? An ftp or something like that? Published somewhere?
