    <description>&lt;P&gt;That'll definitely be part of the problem! In that case you might be limited to 2.4GHz. With the current packet failure rate it would be safe to say that 5GHz is unusable in that environment, at least until we could lower those CRC failures. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Do you have your power settings on the AP set to Auto? If you do, they will decide what power level to use based on background scans, so if the background scans are indicating a different power level would be better, the AP will switch to that power level instead. You might want to set the power manually to avoid this if you are seeing APs change this setting frequently. Also if you could send tech data from this AP to communityhelp@aerohive.com, I will check for interference or any other issues that could cause users to get disconnected frequently. To get tech data:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you're using HiveManager Classic (myhive.aerohive.com), you'll want to go to Monitor&amp;gt; Check the box next to the AP&amp;gt; Utilities&amp;gt; Get tech data. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you're using Hivemanager (formerly NG, cloud.aerohive.com), you'll want to go to Tools&amp;gt; Utilities&amp;gt; Get tech data&amp;gt; Check the box next to the AP&amp;gt; Get tech data (at the top of the page this time). &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Another option would be to view the power settings and ACSP info from neighboring APs on their 2.4 GHz radios and lowering the max transmit power. You're probably experiencing a lot of interference in the 2.4 GHz spectrum, particularly since there are only three channels in play.  &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What we have done is clone the default radio profile, then lower the Maximum Transmission Power in order for ACSP to perform its job more effectively. While you're at it, you could also turn on Band Steering to encourage clients to connect on 5GHz rather that 2.4 GHz.  &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In most instances we built our coverage based upon 5GHz predictive heat maps and thus reduced our 2.4 GHz max transmit power to 10 dBm. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for that tech data. I sent you details on what we found in there, but related to your post: the wifi0 radio had no interference to speak of, other than a couple loud neighbors (one of which is using channel 4, but that's not an Aerohive AP so I doubt you have control over it). &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Looking at the buffered log it looks like the AP is moving between 15-17 for the power settings, but I'm not seeing any problems per say around that, just that they did a scan and chose that power. Is there a reason to have these APs on auto settings, or would we be able to set the power statically?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Ok, set the power on 2.4ghz to 10 on rm10 and its immediate neighbors. Will see if that helps the disconnect issue. As far as the 95% crc thing, I can’t help but wonder if that might have anything to do with the AM/FM transmission tower that is about 500 feet from our building. We can’t tone out a network cable without hearing the radio station through the wand speaker! We run almost exclusively chromebooks (with probably 50 mackbooks, maybe). So, of course, the majority of our issues are with chromebook connections.&lt;BR /&gt;
