topic NAC-A-20 SNMP Alert if reduntant power supply fails in Analytics & Visibility

Hi Community,

not sure if this is a bug. One of my customer experienced an outage of a NAC-A-20 appliance. Reason was that one power supply failed and the other was not plugged in tightly. Normally I would expect that if one of the redundant supplies fails or isn't plugged in a SNMP Trap / Alarm is caused. Did anyone experienced a similar behavior or knows how to realize it? If not this would be a FR.

Best Regards
Hello Michael,

We currently do not support sending traps from the NAC-A-20 Appliances for any types of hardware issues. As you have already mentioned, this would be a Feature Request for possible future functionality.

A Feature Request can be started with opening a Services Case by either calling into the GTAC, or via the Case Management Web Portal. If you would submit the request in the Services Case, we can then take it over to a formal Feature Request for possible future functionality, and will relay it to the appropriate Product Manager for review.

Best Regards,
Hi Gregory,

thanks for your replay and making things clear. I wrote an idea regarding this problem.
https://community.enterasys.com/enterasys/topics/support_of_snmp_traps_of_enterasys_appliances

I hope this is also ok. If I have to make an official Case please contact me.

Again, thanks a lot.

Best Regards
Hello Michael,

The posting of an Idea is also fine. I apologize for omitting that option earlier.
