Refurb or recycle?

Hi,

I am new here. I am in the refurb and recycling business in the Netherlands.

this quite a simple question I am looking at and it is either recycle the equipent or restore to factory settings.

This way equipement can be used for education or for people with lesser means.

In our stock sits an old VDX 6720 10G switch. I don't have a clue where it came from, because its there for some time now and I simply forgot. Too much passing our hands to remember... anyway no passwd what so ever. I have connected it and it still works.

But I cant leave the config intact so I need to reset to factory settings. But how to proceed? I have seen several ways using option 3 and setenv. But I already get stuck on the passwd:?

There is no hard reset button 😞

Hello @Frank3Rit,
You’ll need to perform a password recovery via the console — typically interrupt the boot process, set environment variables, and then reset to factory defaults. Check the vendor’s documentation for the exact procedure since there’s no physical reset button.
