Hi,

I've finally got NPS to work, took me ages!

More of a cosmetic thing than an issue but the switch notes in its logs the error below every time I log in

08/30/2013 15:41:45.64 <AAA.RADIUS.VSAUNKNOWNVEND> radDecodeVsa :Unknown vendor 311 8
08/30/2013 15:41:45.64 <AAA.RADIUS.VSAUNKNOWNVEND> radDecodeVsa :Unknown vendor 311 7
08/30/2013 15:41:45.64 <AAA.RADIUS.VSAUNKNOWNVEND> radDecodeVsa :Unknown vendor 311 15
08/30/2013 15:41:45.64 <AAA.RADIUS.VSAUNKNOWNVEND> radDecodeVsa :Unknown vendor 311 14

I'm using the Service-Type - Administrative to authenticate with admin rights on the switch but even when I remove that attribute it still logs those messages.

Can anyone tell me what they mean?

Thanks

I had this same issue and it seemed to have to do with the windows group i was giving access to my switches. I never found a setting that stopped this from occuring - i just new that during my initial testing it wasn't happening and later it was. I ended up making a new Network Policy in NPS and no longer get the extra DecodeVsa warnings.

I know that is a bit vague but hopefully it helps. I think that some settings i was testing with must have still been sending data when logging in even though there were 'deselected' / 'off'. (from Nick_Lindhag)
