Hello, I am curious if the GBIC for B3, B5, C3 and N series switches support both 62.5 and 50 micron. We have some LC01's currently being used and they are using a fiber for 62.5. I was wondering if they also supported multimode 50 micron fiber as well. Thank you!

Hi Travis,
Short answer: Yes

Longer answer:
The MGBIC-LC01 are spec'd. at 220m for 62.5u cable (OM1)
They will run 550m on 50u cable (OM2, OM3 and OM4)

So you can push the distance farther with the 50u cable.

If you need to push even farther then you would use -LC03 optics which interestingly have
just the opposite characteristics:
2km on 62.5u cable
1km on 50u cable
