You can do so.
Extreme Cloud IQ Auto Firmware Update

Hi,

I am trying to find a way to automatically update the OS of our access points, preferably during a specified maintenance window.

Currently we have to manually select devices and update them, which is unsustainable given we have nearly 500 devices used from early morning to late in evening.

Previously I have used Meraki and devices always auto updated to the latest version at the specified time. Is there any similar functionality in Extreme Cloud IQ?

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Thank you Dilraj, I will have a look at this. This would have to be done everytime there is an update for the device though - is there a way to schedule a maintenance window so that devices are always kept up-to-date without interaction?

Hi <USER-MENTION data-id="9900195">@oliverbwebb</USER-MENTION>,

No, that can’t happen because this is something which customer always prefer to happen under their supervision/knowledge. Few customers don’t even want to go with the upgrade for multiple reasons.

Moreover, the updates don’t come that often, so I guess it's ok to keep this step a manual process.

Hope this answers your query.

DILRAJ
