Hi Sacha, you can use MAC auth with any SSID security level you’d like, it essentially acts as an extra layer of security. If you want users to connect without entering any information, so long as they are on the approved MAC address list, then you can set up an open SSID with MAC authentication. This guide reviews how to set up MAC authentication in XIQ-https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?n=000046444&q=MAC%20authentication%20XIQ

Is there any possibility to only configure mac authentication in the CLoud IQ so that devices with known mac addresses will be authenticated. This mac authentication will be verified on the Identity engine we use.

At this moment we do not get this working. Always asking for a username and password.
What is the SSID- authentication setting we have to use?
Enterprise - Personal - Private-pre-shared key - WEP - open un-secured.
Not one of them gives me the solution.
Please does anyone could advice us ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback !

But what if all my mac addresses are already in my Avaya Identity Engine.

Can’t we just set the ssid authentication off in the IQcloud and only use mac authentication which then refers to my identity engine where all the mac addresses are already in?
