I am a newbie, when using the xiq pilot to manage my aerohive wireless network, there are some error occur:

ap122x, when change the mgt0 ip from dhcp to static and submit “update”, It hang on the 28%, and I can not login with ssh, no clue why the ssh password is not aerohive. because it hang, I can not submit a new update to change the ssh unknown password.

ap230, upgrade firmware always failed. the current firmware version is 6.5.11, I choose the 6.5.12 to upgrade, but always hang on 13%, finally indicate: Device update failed.

Hello,

If you’re changing a MGT IP I’d always recommend to do a complete rather than a delta update if you’re using this. The update may be failing also because of point 2.

Does the firmware update on the AP122X also fail? I’d check firewall rules as this is one of the most common causes of firmware/configuration update failures. Here’s how to find the firewall rules for your DC. https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000079399&q=firewall%20xiq

If a successful update has been applied, the AP will use the Device Management password set in XIQ, which can be found by following the steps in the below guide: https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000079784&q=device%20managment%20password

You may want to reach out to your Sales Engineer about the roadmap and any chance of deploying new RDCs. If you’re not sure who to reach out to for your Sales Engineer, please let me know where you are located and I’ll find you a local contact to speak with.
