Aerohive AP250 and VOIP Phone

Can I attach an IP phone to ETH1 on an AP250 so I can connect to our phone system, so the AP will be acting as a bridge.

As long as the IP phone doesn’t need PoE, you should be able to set the port to bridge access mode to do this. Just as a note, the AP250 will need to be getting PoE+ level power to have the use of its ETH1 port.

The phone is POE, but I’m using a POE Injector. Bridge Mode on the Port Type isn’t available, I have looked on the Common Object and it isn’t in there as well.

Sorry, I believe Access Port is what it’s called in the GUI, it should be the same.

I updated the AP250 template for ETH1 as Access Port, native vlan 1, allowed All. Phone is still in a discovery stage for DHCP

I checked my switch port that it the AP is connected to, it’s a Trunk Port, Native VLAN 1, allowed all.

I moved it to another port, with native vlan 1 and VLAN 2,3,4,9: 2 being the VOICE vlan. just to see

@rkowals just to make sure I unterstand in case I run into the same issue... the solution was to set the ETH1 port to access or did you need to change anyting else ?

I changed the ETH1 Port type from Access to Trunk and change the native VLAN to the Phone VLAN.
