Extreme Control License 24 Hour Period Start and Stop

Hi,

Have been asked a specific question about when the 24 hour period of the NAC counter end-system licensing restarts, for example; my assumption might be it is at Midnight every night, but it could equally be any time or something that is configurable?

Just wondering if anyone knows?

Hi Martin,

here the answer that was given back in 2013 in the Enterasys mailing list....

Is this a question about how the number of end-systems for a 24 hour period, which is used for licensing, is calculated?

If so that logic runs every hour to figure out the max end-systems within the 24 hour period.

The max of those 24 values is used for that day.

The license check that uses the end-system count value is run at the same time as the data cleanup.

That is configurable in options under NAC Manager -> Data Persistence -> Run Data Persistence Check.
