I would like to create an alarm in NetSight to monitor for future PoE failures which create these log messages.
bcmPseReceiveMessageString: timed out

Is there a trap I can turn on?

Hello David,

The below article should help with achieving this:

https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-send-an-SNMP-trap-based-on-a-log-me...
Hope this helps!

These is another discussion in Hub. Maybe give you some hit.

How send a SNMP Traps test to the Network Management?
https://community.extremenetworks.com/extreme/topics/how-send-a-snmp-traps-test-to-the-network-manag...
Hope it also helps.
I have now lowered the radio to 1x1.

and that does not change any behaviour on the AP.

CHANNEL : Current: 100 Configured: 100 Width: 20MHz
TRANSMIT POWER : 17 dBm
ANTENNA USAGE : 1x1

transmit power is what AP is selecting it self.

I have configured it for 30dBm EIRP.
I resolved the issue.

I changed the order I pasted the commands in and that resulted in the line referencing the log filter erroring out. As a result it created a upm event for every log message that the switch saw.

All good and working properly now.
