As I believe I answered in one of your prior posts, there is a fixed CPU overhead when you enable IP-FIX. Because IP-FIX is performed by the switching ASIC the actual generation of flows is done in hardware but the processing of the flows to the collector is a process in XOS. The XOS process can generate some CPU overhead but that overhead will not effect overall switch packet processing unless there is a lot of slow-path traffic.

Does collecting Interface stats and or IP flows from switches effect switch performance? I am using Netsight to collect data on my uplinks. I am just wondering if I am hurting switch performance.
