Installation order EMC 8.3.1.9 and 8.2.9.1

what is the recommended update order for these releases?

I haven’t had any issued upgrading within the 8.x tree of XMC. It’s usually an easy task. Just remember to have a backup of the entire config and, if you need it, performance data. If you run it on a virtual machine, make a snapshot before upgrading.

Assuming you’re upgrading from 8.2.9.1 to 8.3.1.9, I’d say go for it in one go!

After upgrading, depending on the size of your network, it may take some time before you can login to the web GUI. It often gives an error message some time after the restart but that clears after some additional time.

--> Upgrades to version 8.3 may be done from 8.0, 8.1, or 8.2.
