Hi,

did anyone realized Telenet/SSH access to 3rd party Device “Dell PowerConnect” Switches?

As SSH needs double UID/PW (which can´t be confiured in XMC) we moved to Telnet.

However, authentication failed. (No matter, in what field the password is entered in CLI-profiles.

If we connect to the switch via right-click, WebShell, it take quite long, until the credentials can be entered and the CLI opens successfull.

Any ideas?

Thx

Hi Mr. SDR,

the XMC have for each device type a profile where is stored how the CLI works. If the device type unknown we have to tweak a XML file to add the missing one. But that is not a easy task because you have to know how REGEX works.

thx

Markus
