NAC randomly fails mac-locked end systems reauthentication

Hello,

I’m facing a problem since I upgraded XMC and Extreme Control to 8.4.4.26. Sometimes, random mac-locked end systems are blocked because the periodic reauthentication fails with the following message:

The locked end system is connected to switch: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, port: null instead of: 1:4

If I force reauth, it’s working again. If I wait until the next automatic reauth, it’s working again to. But it can fail again in the future.

The switches are X440-G2 with firmware 22.6.1.4.

Is it a known bug?

We have a known issue with port information being removed from end systems in 8.4. It should be resolved in 8.5.

Do you have any idea when 8.5 will be out? Otherwise we’ll downgrade.

I’ve read the release notes of 8.5.0.169 and nothing refers to this exact issue. Can you confirm it has been fixed?
