Hi Kurt,

Yes please , the client might be interested in this feature.

Also we have some applications hosted in the cloud, is it possible to monitor such applications ( hosted in AWS ) as well ?

We notice some slow performance for some applications, might be during virus scan run but we are not sure so we need to get high visibility on server processes and measure application performance end-to-end from server side to client.

Kind regards

Hi,

I have enabled sFlow on my extreme switches [application telemetry], no results are shown in VOIP->SKYPE for business reports. Statistic colelction is anbled on the ports, and on the switch. Application analytics is configured, i can see reports on individual SKYPE session per user [but not detailed VOIP report as i mentioned]. Any idea how to get this fixed ?

Kind regards

Hey mhawas,

are you referencing the report under Reports-->VoIP-->Skype for Business?

If so, then this is more complicated to enable. This required a Connect integration (available with the NMS Advanced License) with the Microsoft Skype API. This API will need to be installed on all your Skype front-end servers and another management package on a dedicated Windows server which centralizes all call stats from all front-ends. That mangement API then forwards the data to Connect (XMC) which then builds that report.

Hello,

here is the link to the solution guide for the Skype integration:
https://extremenetworks2com-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/ksemba_extremenetworks_com/EbHPoNW5nAJIuPVbJAoUWP0BvUc8CpzGGX1ywZjNG6Kc8A?e=cqQANe

A couple of points here:

This guide is somewhat dated as we did not have a lot of customer requests for this integration recently. So if you have trouble with any of the installation steps, please get in touch

It's a long guide as this is not only covering the reporting part but also the dynamic enforcement of QoS settings for calls. You can ignore all that if you just want the reports.

In regards to your other questions: no, we don't have such an integration at Extreme. We do have integrations with AWS, GCP and Azure using Connect but those will

pull data on VMs into your XMC

Synchronize policies from your XMC into all your cloud VPNs

Enforce security rules on VMs using XMC as management interface

Those integration don't look into network performance / analytics.
Thanks
