XMC 8.2 - Issue installing with small ova

Hi,

I've tried installing XMC 8.2 ova small today, with 4 CPU (cant have 8CPU ) and 16Gb of ram, but the install script running after the setup take age and end with and error.

After checking install log, i got and error code :251 that means nothing to me and seems to not being documented.

As I saw the VM took all the 16Gb during the install I was thinking of the RAM saturation, so I tried to run the install on a VM with 4 CPU and 22Gb but same issue.

can someone help me on this ?

What Virtual Environment you are using for this install?

I'm in ESXi 6.0.0

I've tried with 32Gb, with static disk provisioning instead of thin provisioning but same result... 😕

It might be worth checking the ova's MD5 checksum. If the file you have is netsight_appliance_64bit.8.2.4.42-Small.ova, it looks like the checksum is supposed to be 5f3ca89920c313291cd6518e6af6b243.

Problem solved.

after something like 4 hours after le install failed message, the appliance is working.

I've done nothing and it remind me about very long database consolidation.

Maybe the case here.
