Purview Upgrade

Hi folks I am trying to find documentation on the upgrade process for Purview. Our appliance is running 7.0.4.29 on Ubuntu 12.04. I have downloaded 8.0.5.18 is the process just to run the bin file from the command line on the appliance? I just want to make sure i don’t overlook a step and have the system be down. I haven’t been able to find any literature on the process, so any feed back would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Make it executable before that, but yes.

A direct update is not supportet, you must first update to 7.1.3 or 7.1.4. (You can find this information in the release notes of 8.0.5 and 7.1.4)
