Registering devices into multiple end system groups

Hello, I'm wondering if we can have different end system groups for registered devices based on the login of the user registering the device. We'd like to have a student group that a logged-in student can register their devices, but give faculty the ability to register devices into a different faculty-specific group. Is this possible within a single self-registration portal or can we have multiple links/portals, one for students and one for faculty?

Hello,

This can be accomplished by utilizing the LDAP to End-System Group mappings within the authenticated registration portal.

Inside the group editor you can create LDAP usergroup to end system group mappings so something like:

memberOf= CN=faculty,DC=,DC= Is mapped to a “Faculty” end system group.

memberOf= CN=students,DC=,DC= Is mapped to a “Student” end system group

You can then create rules accordingly in your rules engine to provide different levels of access as desired.
