Changing switch IP address via NBI API script or MySQL update (?)

Hello,

I’ve got existing network infrastructure, where EXOS switches are managed by XMC with Policy and NAC (all versions are 8.2)

Now I have to change management IP of all switches and move them to another management VLAN.

Normally I would need to configure new mgmt VLAN and new IP for all switches, remove all switches from XMC and add switches again to XMC with new addresses. Next I would need to assign them to Policy again and add to all NAC appliances as well.

That all seems to be time consuming and vulnerable to human errors.

My question is: did anyone ever tried successfully to change devices IPs by manipulating data in XMC database ? I.e by updating MySQL database or by using NBI API scripting ?

Any info would be appreciated.
