Hi,

there are two common problems with using the S-Series console:

You need to use the correct port, because physical console ports are dedicated to physical slots. Please see https://community.extremenetworks.com/faqs-90303/s-series-usb-serial-port-mapping-and-usage-5785541 for details.

The S-Series (and other EOS devices) use a different pinout than, e.g., EXOS devices. Thus you need the correct adapter. See https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/Q_A/What-is-the-pinout-for-N-Series-RJ45-to-DB9-console-adapter for details.

With S-Series switches, you may need hardware flow control for the serial adapter (this is configurable and i think the default changed to no hardware flow control). Some USB to serial converters do not support this. Some DB9 to RJ45 cables do not use all pins, those sometimes leave out flow control connections. But that is rather uncommon.

Thanks,
Was working on the Radius configuration for our S8 Switch but misconfigured the access profile tied to our filter-id and can no longer manage the switch via SSH. I am trying to connect via serial cable to the COM RJ45 port but after configuring the recommended settings. I get no response to Putty.
