Why can i not create a tagged vlan on summit x350-48t

I am in the process of reverse engineering a network that I have no passwords to the switches. I Am trying to become familiar with the extrema OS. I do not understand why I can create a tag Vlan on my x460 but not on my x350e. If you have any good Resources on extreme switches I would highly appreciate it.

I’m not so familiar with older Extreme Switches, especially if they run very old EXOS. But do you receive any error message when you create the vlan?

In EXOS, you are able to create a vlan “without” an ID (Tag). In this case you can’t add it as tagged to a port.

create vlan <name> tag <VLAN-ID>
configure vlan <name> add ports <Port> tagged

If you already have created several VLANs you can ofc add the tag afterwards.

configure vlan <vlan-name> tag <desired vlan id>
