We have given below settings in an SSA with firmware Rev 08.31.01.0006

set port inlinepower admin off
set port inlinepower admin auto.

But connected device is not powered up. Inlinepower oper status remains searching.
What could be the problem ?

I've never run into such issue so that are only some ideas what I'd do in such a case....

If that happens only for one device could you try another port on the switch that was working with a other device and also use a cable that you know was working with a other device.

Could you also post the output for "show inlinepower"

Another question is what type of end device is this. To get into high powered mode some devices need LLDP configured with the PoE and med-poe TLV's enabled. Suresh's question about the ports inline power status though should be the first step as it will show the ports current state as well as what its PoE power settings are like.
Looking at the show port inline power things look like they should be working. At this point I would suggest collecting the output of the command "show support" and contacting the GTAC so we can dig a bit deeper to see if there is some other issue causing this behavior.
