MGMT port connection

Hi

I am from Sydney and configuring Black Dimond 8800 modular switch. I have configure vlan Mgmt with management ip address.

I am successfully able to connect my laptop to the mgmt port using ethernet cable.

But once I disconect my pc and reconnect with same cable, Management port stop responding and cant connect.

Once I reboot the switch it comes back and allow me to connect via mgmt port again.

Is this normal or any software bug?

Verify if the fdb entry exists for the laptop on the switch after you disconnect it...

Was this a one-off incident or does it happen everytime?

it could be a bug as well...Verify with TAC...what version of code is it?

Thanks for response. Well it is happen everytime. I have not verified fdb entry.

I am now asking TAC. I guess thats the best option.
