It might just be that the IP/ARP combo is still in cache. Try something like &lt;BR /&gt;
clear arp-cache&lt;BR /&gt;
on the VSP/ERS. Not sure which model you have so exact command might be different.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>I am moving from Cisco to Extreme (VSP/ERS). I have a layer 2 connection between the Cisco core and the VPS "core". I have 5 VLANs (default gateways) defined on the Cisco and need to  move them to the VSP.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
I remove the ip address from the Cisco (interface vlan 17 , then no ip address). When adding the IP address into the VSP (interface vlan 17, ip address 192.168.17.1/24) I get error: multinetting not supported.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
??????&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
