topic RIB and FIB in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

Hello, colleagues!

Whether I understand the theory?

For example X460 switch.
FIB - forwarding infromation base = Data Plane = TCAM = ASIC = hardware = 12K IPv4 routes
RIB - routing information base = Control Plane = CPU = software = 25K IPv4 routes

Am I right or not?

Thank you!

Yes.

FIB = unique route programmed in the hardware
RIB = multiple times the same route, from protocols, in memory
RIB - 25K IPv4 routes for X460 (from RelNotes 15.7)

Right?
