xmodem took MANY hours when i had to do it. Especially if you didn't change the console speed.
Hello Nico

Yes you can but you have to be in the Bootloader of the switch to use the serial port and it is mainly used as recovery process.

There is a knowledgebase article here https://gtacknowledge.extremenetworks.com/articles/How_To/How-to-Use-the-Boot-Rom-Menu-to-Download-a...

Let us know if this helps.
Hi Paul,

thanks for the quick answer.
But I mean to use the serial connection to download the image.

Regards
Hello, Nico!

No, you can't upgrade through serial.

Also you have to think (if it were possibile (teoretically)) - how long it takes to download image (50MB) with speed 9,6 kbit/sec?

Thank you!

That was more a theoretical question, as for SecureStack it is possible
The ExtremeWare products (S200, S300, S400, 48si, etc.) allowed xmodem transfer for code, but the images were much smaller. On EXOS based hardware, this isn't possible.
