Hi,

I have downloaded the firmware for a summit X430 and x440 and both are .exe files.
I tried to uncompress with "standard" compressions tools but doesn't works, what kind of files are ?

Thanks.
Can you tell us where you acquired an exe file from?
If your browser downloaded it as a
code:
.exe

, I strongly recommend checking the MD5 or SHA256 sums against your downloaded file before executing them. If everything checks out, you can simply change the file extension to
code:
.xos

.

Otherwise, make sure you're downloading your software from an approved source.
Hi AGD,

The firmware should be a .xos file, not .exe.

There is no need to manually unpack the file, if you just install it with the 'download image' command, EXOS will automatically download it to the switch and unpack the file.
