topic Why do X670's compress routes in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

Just converted from BDX8 to duel X670G2-48x-4q site router and we see compressed routes. Everything seems to be working fine, we are just trying to understand the behavior.
Code 15.6.3.1
Total number of routes = 257
Total number of compressed routes = 62

Does the 257 include the 62 compressed routes?
What is the switch compressing routes?
What is the route limit?

Thanks
After 15.5.2 release, route compression is enabled by default in EXOS. You can check this in "show ipconfg" output.
If 10.x.x.x network is received from same gateway with /8, /16 and /24 subnet then /8 route will be installed in the routing table and the other 2 routes will be kept as compressed route.
