topic x450a SNMP Temp sensor not updating in ExtremeSwitching (EXOS/Switch Engine)

My SNMPv2 monitoring server is set to monitor OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.1916.1.1.1.8.0 (snmp temp sensor) on an extreme x450a (version 12.4.1.7).

The problem:

- When the server queries the switch, the switch always reports the same temperature.

- When I log into the switch (CLI) and run "show temp" or "show snmp get <OID>" I see the correct temp.

- The next time my monitoring service queries the switch, it reports the new temp.

Wireshark captures confirm the packet coming back from the switch is the old stale value.

Not sure if the switch is caching this or what. Is there a way to fix this?

</OID>

Hi Kaon,

This bug is fixed from 12.4.4.8-patch1-2
12.x EXOS versions are end of support, i would recommend to take a look at the below link and upgrade to supported and stable version of EXOS.
